Day 7 – Last Floor, Stairs & Tunnels

Morning Routine

The Lord really blessed and last day was a lighter day of work because we had finished so much.  Most of the team hiked up the hill and mixed and poured the last concrete floor.

We got done before lunch and they guys took the heavy mixer down the hill and back up to the clinic site near the feeding center.  That was a big job.
After lunch, We put the lids on the top of latrine’s 1 & 2.

Then most of the group went up to one of the forts on the island (Fort San Rafael).

Around the bend

I helped Thom and Samy finish up the staircase and that took the rest of the afternoon.

After supper, Katerin and others brought out jewelry and other things they had been making.  They sell them to help support their schooling and mission work.  I bought most of my family’s Christmas presents here.  We then had a meeting with the Proyecto Libertad staff.  We re-capped the week and shared how much the Lord had blessed us.  We thanked them and vice versa.  It was a hard evening because we knew we were starting to say “see you next year” to them.
