Gentry’s Store’s 75th Anniversary

Gentry's Store

Yesterday was the open house/celebration of the 75th anniversary of Gentry’s Store.  Gentry’s Store was started by my Grandfather Holton and now is owned and run by my Father Hughes.  The store has been a feed & seed, grocery store, Western Auto, and now a general store.  Through the years the store has been a community spot and gathering place.  It was such a blessing to see so many people who had worked at the store over the years.  Many customers, community members and family came for the celebrations.  Everyone had a great time swapping stories, sharing memories, and reconnecting with friends.  My Mom, Sue, her sister, Donna, and Mary Etta, my Grandmother made the refreshments.  It was a great evening.
