With the latrines setting up, we started the floors. Giving a nice concrete floor to a family is a huge blessing. They are easy to clean and they make the family feel more open to having people over. The first floor we did was for a small house right across from the mission. We set the mixer up and formed a bucket brigade. We sent the buckets full of rock and sand to the mixer from the back of the house. Then we went the other way with concrete. It was a record-breaking pour. After the work, we played around with the kids on the island.
That evening was the second night of the conference. The theme was relationship in marriage. There was a great turn out. Mark shared and Karen translated again. After Mark finished, the people asked a lot of good questions.
