I awoke this morning to the telephone. Mom & Dad called to say they were moving Grandmother’s birthday party to lunch time to avoid any bad weather. I got ready and headed to church. Only 2 songs to type in today, but one “Blessed Be Your Name” threw us all off. I typed it in as it appeared in the “transparency” copy, but when the worship team sang it, it didn’t match up. John & I looked after the service and low and behold the “musician” copy and the “transparency” copy didn’t match at several places. Whoever edited that song book did a poor job. Oh well I corrected it to the “musician” copy and saved it.
After Mark’s sermon on Caleb’s faith and desire to follow God wholly, Ray shared what the Lord had been doing in his life. He share the trials and refining he had been through because of his job. He also shared that the Lord honored his prayers and gave him a new job in ministry. He will be doing MIS at New Directions! I hugged him and told him how glad I was for him. I worked at NDI for 4 years and helped get a lot of the computer technology in and upgraded. I’m so pleased Ray will be there to move NDI foward and I know God will really use him. He and JL(the founder & director) have such a simular drive and joy they will work great together.
After the service, I headed to Mom & Dad’s in King. My aunt & uncle and my grandmother came up from Lexington. Mary Etta (my other grandmother) was there too. We had a great lunch Grandmother opened her gifts and we had fun talking and relaxing. I headed home and have been relaxing tonight. I’m dissapointed with the weather. I would like at least 1 good snow this winter. Oh well!
